It is wonderful having barbecue parties with friends.And when summer comes we just rush out to the country and sometimes to our balcony and have big dinners.
We love kebap ... And when there is kebap there has to be this Sumac Salad.
Things you need ::::
* 3-4 onions
* Some sumac ( 2 table spoons )
I need to learn the cooking vocabulary immediately .....Let me try:
* Slice the onion; the pieces have to be thin.
* The onions have to be squeezed ( I hope it is the right word ) with salt.
* The rinse them.
* Then squeeze them
* Chop the parcley
* Add sumac
* It is ready
Now , take a flat bread ( we call it LAVAŞ - LAVASH ) or a pita bread , put the kebap - meat balls - sish kebap and many others- spread the sumac salad , wrap it......We serve kebap mainly with AYRAN; AYRAN is a healthy bevarage made of plain yoghurt; cold water and salt. Put them in a jug and mix, add some ice, and it is ready to drink...
