Here is a delicious recipe for classic holiday SNO BALL COOKIES, but they are good any time of the year !!

1 cup butter ( do not substitute with margarine or spreads)
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp water
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans or pecan pieces
1-2 cups of powdered sugar ( set this aside in a zip lock bag for when cookies are done )

Blend the butter and sugar until smooth, add water and vanilla, blend. Gradually add the flour until dough is formed, and then fold in the pecans. Refrigerate the dough for 3-4 hours. Remove from fridge, and roll into balls about the size of ping pong balls.
Place on un-greased cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 20 min. or until the balls feel firm. (hmmmmm..that didn't sound right )
Let the cookies cool for about 1hour and then place them a large zip lock back with powdered sugar and GENTLY shake the bag to coat the cookies, remove and enjoy !!!
