My Recipe Experiment: This got an A+ from all members of the family "Black-bean open face Burger"
You'll need a hot skillet sprayed with Olive Oil -I used Cast-Iron
Makes 8 small burgers (serves 4)
In a medium bowl 1 can (15 oz) Joan Arc Black Beans (Drain main juice off real quick)
Mash with fork till thick
Add fresh ground pepper, 1/2 tsp. Cumin, 3 Tbsp. Dried Onion Flakes, 1 Tbsp. Dried Garlic Flakes, few dashes of salt & 1/2 Tbsp. Red Pepper Flakes. Mix together.
In a small bowl place 1 large egg & 1-2 Tbsp. of Franks Red Hot Sauce. Mix together.
Add small bowl to medium bowl-blend together with fork.
Add 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs.
On plate layer fresh baby spinach, 4 blend Mexican cheese (Kraft-shredded), small black olives (sliced).
On skillet/grill top scoop 6 smaller burgers (I use a pampered chef large cookie scoop)-once they start too cook a little press lightly with fork to make them flatter. Cook 5-7 min. on each side (watch they don't burn).
Place 2 small burgers on top of bedded plate-melt down some Hell Of Good Monterrey & Colby Jack Cheese on top of each burger-top with a thick slice of fresh tomato.
Serve hot & Enjoy!
*Note: the kids just loved them-they were done before me with these burgers-so a huge hit!*
