We all have a recipe that we like to go to in a pinch. Whether it's quick, inexpensive, healthy, comforting, or family friendly, I want to hear about your favorite "go-to" dish. Please post it in the in the "Recipes" section as well.
Hi everybody, I'm back! Ok, Mom's chocolate cake was very simple to make and it was good, it was not very sweet, so this is a good recipe for people who don't like very sweet desserts and very simple to make when you have company over and need to make something sweet and quick! It only took me about 10 minutes to mix everything together and place it in the oven; of course I had everything on hand.
Kirk, I like simple recipes, not to crazy about Rachael Ray's cooking (hey Rachael, if you read this, no hard feelings, my mother loves your cooking!) but Paula Deen's love her ("y'all") recipes and Ina Garten ("Nobody wants to spend all day in the kitchen" "How easy was that!?") cooking are some of my kinds of simple and delicious foods I love to make.....ahhh ya, can't leave out Martha Stewarts! "It's a good thing!"
So if you have any simple yet delicious recipes.....hand them over...I would love to try them out! Also, I am crazy about Amish cooking too...anybody know of any great Amish recipes out there?
Leo, I made your chocolate olive oil cake last night. It's wonderful! I made it as a sheet cake and I've kept the cream cheese frosting in the fridge, to be added by those who want it. Today it is in the Olio2go office kitchen where co-workers are enjoying it. The olive oil? Villa Cappelli Extra Virgin Olive Oil. (I enjoyed the batter too!)
